Pat McGrath Chevyland Awarded Best Customer Service
"The focus for our customer service is our mission statement, which is, 'Do the right thing, exceed expectations, make a difference,'" said Pat McGrath, owner of Pat McGrath Chevyland. Striving to achieve this goal is what made subscribers of the Corridor Business Journal vote the auto dealership as offering Best Customer Service for a retail outlet. At Pat McGrath, every employee receives a full day of training that is specific to customer service. "My father, who started the business, really drove home the point that we are in the customer service business first, the car business second," he said. Chevyland opened in Cedar Rapids in 1991. However, the McGrath family has been in the automotive business since 1952. Pat McGrath Chevyland is at 1600 51st Street NE in Cedar Rapids. The dealership has an available inventory of 500 units and has the capability to acquire a unit not in inventory within a day or two. For used inventory, the dealership carries between 375 to 400 vehicles, including a large selection of GM-certified vehicles.  If a customer still is not finding what he or she seeks, the business owns two additional stores in Cedar Rapids that stock an additional 275 to 325 vehicles to which Chevyland sales people have access. "Our goal is to give the customer a lot of choices when looking for a vehicles," said Mr. McGrath. "We have the largest Chevrolet and used vehicles selection in Eastern Iowa." McGrath Automotive Group was voted Best Automotive Dealer by the readers of the Corridor Business Journal. McGrath is a locally owned, family business.  "I have two of my children in the business with me and a third joining us this fall. Mike McGrath has a son in the business, and hopefully his two other sons will be joining us after college," said owner Pat McGrath. "We have been in the business for 58 years and plan on being here another 58 years."
